Guitarist and composer Brian Bolger began performing with Crash Ensemble in the summer of 2017 during their ambitious Crashlands tour of remote locations around Ireland, performing in premieres by Gerald Barry, Julia Wolfe, Peter Adriaanz, Kate Moore and Ed Bennett. Brian is artistic director and performer with the Dublin Guitar Quartet. Noteworthy activity with this group includes an album release on Philip Glass’ own record label Orange Mountain Music in 2014, a premiere performance of ‘How Little You Are’ by Nico Muhly in Austin, Texas in 2015 and a four-night run of a 25-minute commission by Michael Gordon at the BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music) Next Wave Festival in December 2016.
