Always having a keen interest in new music, during her time studying in Dublin Leonie was one of the first members of the Kirkos Ensemble. She has performed for the Irish Composers Collective series and has also forayed into the world of composing - an audiovisual piece she created was featured at a Kaleidoscope concert as well as at an event in the Contemporary Music Centre and some of her electronic pieces were performed at various events during her time in London, studying for an MA in music performance at the Royal Academy of Music, where she was the winner of the Buffet Crampon Clarinet Prize in her final year.
