Owen Gunnell

Percussionist and presenter Owen Gunnell has played and recorded new commissions by many composers including Steve Reich, George Benjamin, Brett Dean, Thomas Ades, Unsuk Chin, Aphex Twin, David Lang, Donnacha Dennehey, Nico Muhly, Micheal Nyman, Oliver Knussen, Helmut Lachenmann. Brimming with energy and enthusiasm for all things sound, Owen is also Artistic Director of Children’s Classic concerts in Scotland with his percussion duo, O Duo, performing regularly and presenting concerts with the RSNO, to an annual audience of 30,000 children. His duo have released 2 albums to critical acclaim and have performed globally at the BBC Proms, the Wigmore hall, Lucerne Festival (Switzerland), Morelia festival (Mexico), Harare Festival (Zimbabwe), the Cheltenham Festival,  as well as performances in France, Spain, Bulgaria, Australia.
