CRASH WORKS is an initiative to commission and support the artistic and professional development of music creators, from any genre, at pivotal stages of their careers offered in partnership with New Music Dublin, Crash Ensemble musicians & our team of creative minds.

CRASH WORKS 2023-2025

‍

5 music creators, selected from an open call, have been commissioned to write a new work for Crash in partnership with New Music Dublin festival. These 5 brilliant creators are:

Over the next two years, the creators will take part in our professional development hub incorporating Crash Ensemble musicians, our team of lovely, skilled, talented people, and the composers/music creators around us to fully support the commission and presentation of each new work and allow time for thinking, creating, collaborating, investigating and re-defining what it is to be a music creator. We will share our knowledge of the sector with them, while exploring and supporting new ways of creating music and the people who create this music.

Their commissions will be premiered at New Music Dublin in 2025.

From the open call process 8 music creators were also selected to write a 3 minute postcard piece for Crash:
